Shakesperience Productions is seeking, Spanish speaking, culturally appropriate Hispanic non-union actors that can sing/dance and double as a musician to perform in our upcoming Production and Tour of “Dia De Los Reyes” as well as perform and teach as Resident actors for our Shakespeare workshops and classes.
This play tells the story of a Fictional protagonist from Puerto Rico, who relives the Holiday through memory; underlining advocacy and resilience, community and culture, after the tragedy of Hurricane Maria and aftermath in Waterbury, CT.
Production and rehearsals will take place at our studio in downtown Waterbury, CT
A 3 person version of this play will go on tour for one month in January to Waterbury and New Britain Public Schools.
Actors/Musicians wanted include piano, Spanish guitar, maracas, and güiro. And will be paid an additional salary.
Timeline:
12 weeks Starting November 6th
35 Hours/week, (25 hrs Rehearsal) November-December
4 Day performance (7 performances total) mid December
2 weeks paid vacation Nov 23rd-26, Dec 23rd-Jan 1st 2024
School tour Month of January 2024
$450/Week
Housing/Parking Available at no cost to the actor
